The Mono County Service Area 1 is looking for an enthusiastic citizen for the area from the Ormat Geothermal Plant south to the Communities of Hot Creek, Long Valley, McGee Creek, Crowley Lake, Aspen Springs, Sunny Slopes and Tom’s Place.

The Mono County Service Area 1 receives a percentage of property taxes collected within its District and is governed by the Mono County board of Supervisors.  Our goal is to make the district a better place for everyone.  We enjoy new projects but have to balance spending with the increased need for maintenance on existing parks and facilities.

We fund community based projects and activities such as fitness programs, art, gardening and a variety of other year-round recreation activities.

The Mono County Service Area 1 Board of Directors meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month at the Crowley Lake Community Center at 5:30 p.m.  A small stipend is paid for regular board
meetings.
